The individuals pictured were recognized for their professionalism and efficiency in handling a traumatic amputation call during the American Red Cross Lifesaving Awards Ceremony on October 15, 2019. The combined efforts of the first responders from Wood/Wirt County E9-1-1 Center, Washington Bottom Volunteer Fire Department, and Camden Clark Ambulance Service saved a life and a limb. Due to no small part to their efforts, the severed limb was successfully reattached. Congratulations to all involved.
