What’s the Soundtrack of Your Agency?

Chances are you have called someone a rock star, or someone has called you a rock star. And, frankly, we think you all deserve it. So this is a chance to make your rock and roll dreams come true!
For National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week 2025, we are asking you what music, song, band or even dance move describes your agency. Are you feeling those “Good Vibrations,” or do you want to “Shake It Off”? Is your crew more the Drifters, Rascal Flatts or Coldplay? Or maybe you like to blend genres like Beyoncé?
To enter the contest, just send us your answer and explain why it describes your shift or agency. But if you want to try for extra likes, you can “jazz” it up (see what we did there?) and send us:
- New lyrics to existing songs
- A video of your agency singing or dancing to “your” song (keep it to the radio version, please!)
- An album cover featuring your agency band
- Anything else that ties into the song, band or music that reflects your agency.
And while we know you are all rock stars, you should feel free to expand into other genres – R&B, jazz, classical … disco, anyone?
Enter this year’s contest at npstw.org/music. If you don’t have a photo, you can select one of ours. And don’t forget to vote because the two entries with the most “likes” will win a sponsored lunch or a $100 electronic gift card to treat your center.
Here’s the fine print.
- There will be two prizes, one for smaller (1-35 employees) and one for larger (over 35 employees) ECCs.
- Sending your own photo adds one “like” to your score.
- Be as creative as you want, but please don’t attach copyrighted materials, as we will not be able to post them.
- Entries must be submitted by and voting closes on Monday, April 21, at 9 a.m.
- Read the rest of the rules on the npstw.org website.
We know you all deserve Grammies for the work you do every day, not just when the music is playing. So, after you submit your entry, take a look at the tips and tools on the NPSTW website to help you gain public and agency recognition for all of your rock stars.
