On 03/15/2021 during a very busy shift. One of our dispatchers, Ashley Flynn began to choke on banana nut bread. She signaled to her coworker Julie Salnajs that she was choking. Dispatcher Salnajs took her training into action and started doing the heimlich on Dispatcher Flynn. Dispatcher Salnajs was able to dislodge the piece of food from Dispatcher Flynn’s throat by successfully performing the heimlich. Dispatcher Salnajs’s amazing efforts saved Dispatcher Flynn’s life.
