Our center works in excess of 300k emergency/non emergency calls per year. Our center blindly serves and protects our community with only a maximum of six dispatchers and one supervisor daily due to staffing shortages. There is no one specific incident to single out because no matter what has happened, who’s aggravated at who, or what’s warming up in the microwave the instant something happens that is not a “normal” sounding call we all hunker down and each individual person plays a key role, along with each one thinks outside of the box a little different from the other. We work well together because we play off of each other’s strengths to combine a team of an unbreakable chain to insure each call is handled with the best by the best for the best!
