Goodbye my friend
I was on duty when a call came in from a tower that was not in our jurisdiction. I answered the phone and a male said he wanted to report someone dead in their vehicle. I asked for the address where the vehicle was located and he gave me an address an apartment complex in a small community across the river in Louisiana. I then advised the male that he would need the sheriff’s office in the parish that he lived in and proceeded to transfer him to the correct agency. I stayed on the phone to insure the call went through and he started to describe the vehicle in question and gave a description of the male who was deceased. It was at that time that I realized it was my friend who was the deceased male. Not a day goes by that I do not think of him.
