Dispatch is a River – Denial is a River Remix

My submission, “Dispatch is a River,” is a remake of Doechii’s “Denial is a River” that portrays the real life of a 911 dispatcher. Working at WVCC, I navigate the constant flow of radio traffic, heavy call volumes, and unpredictable emergencies, relying on teamwork, coffee, and humor to push through each shift. This remix captures the chaotic nature of the job with stacked call queues, open mics, and odd caller requests like “Just track my location.” It blends humor with real challenges, turning tense situations into moments that any dispatcher can relate to.

This submission includes a lyric video featuring the updated lyrics and a complete vocal replacement to bring the dispatch-themed version to life. The track is an energetic and fitting addition to the NPSTW soundtrack and a tribute to our daily dedication to the job.
