Morgan County Public Safety Dispatch
Submitted by Melissa Franzmann
In 2018, the whole center stepped up and took massive amounts of training. In anticipation of Indiana requiring minimum training standards, our dispatchers worked hard and all of them completed or recertified in a 40-hour basic Telecommunicator class, Emergency Medical Dispatch, Fire Service Dispatch, and Law Enforcement Dispatch. Everyone also participated in CPR certification classes. Shift supervisors all attended a QA/QI class. All of these were in addition to their daily dispatching duties and many other operational training classes along the way. Continuing education and staying on top of advances in the field is truly important, and I’m very proud of how all of our employees stepped up and worked hard!
